So, two new episodes of Two and a Half Men are in with Charlie Harper dead, and Ashton Kutcher taking his place, and I’m kind of torn about how I feel about the show now.
Charlie Harper was a rich, misogynistic slut who let his brother live with him and gave him shit about it all the time. Loose women flowed through his house like a river. His pessimistic outlook was something I could identify with. He was an alcoholic.
Walden Schmidt is a billionaire dumbass who is childish and devastated that the woman he loved dumped him. Honesty, when I watch the show now I see a rich Michael Kelso. It’s not to say that the show is bad now, but it’s just not the same. I guess I’ll get used to it. I still think the show is funny, but in the first two episodes Jake has hardly been in them at all.
I’ll keep watching the show just to see how it goes.
I really only watch the shows Monday night on CBS. How I Met Your Mother is still a good show, and Mike and Molly is pretty damn funny. The new show, 2 Broke Girls is pretty damn funny, too. The sarcastic broke waitress making fun of the formerly-rich-now-broke waitress doesn’t get old.
So it seems I’ll be parked in front of a TV every Monday from 8 to 10 for the forseeable future.
