Beavis and Butthead are finally back…and better than ever.
The show aired on MTV Thursday night, but since I don’t have cable (a waste of money) I caught it online at MTV.com.
The show is somewhat different as the idiotic duo don’t make fun of music videos much anymore (since MTV doesn’t show them) and instead make fun of other MTV programming such as Jersey Shore and 16 and Pregnant.
The episode had two cartoons. In the first one, Beavis and Butthead are in a theater watching Twilight. Why they are watching this movie is beyond me, but they get the idea that if they become vampires they’ll get chicks.
In the second cartoon, Beavis finds an onion in his chili dog, and upon inhaling it’s foul fumes, his eyes start tearing up and Butthead assumes he’s crying. He spends the rest of the show making fun of him for it.
As I’ve stated before on this blog, I loved that show back in the 90′s and if the show stays as good as this first episode was I’ll be extremely happy about it.
Yeah, that was classic. I had to catch it online as well and was glad I did, except that MTV felt the need to infuse 100 commercials into the online showing, and there were only 3 different commercials they ran. Never mind that the commercials’ volume was up seven notches from the shows, so I had to constantly mess with the volume on my speakers. Aside from that, great episode. And no matter why they went to see Twilight, at least they were making fun of it. I can’t wait for more.
Yeah, I think the commercial breaks were like 3 or 4 minutes long. They felt longer than the commercial breaks on TV. But at least I can watch it.
