My wife and I inevitably have some variation of this same discussion prior to going out for the night.
“Honey, why are you putting make up on? You look beautiful without it.”
“Because I like it and it makes me look better.”
“No, it makes you look fake.”
“We’re probably gonna have our pictures taken tonight and I don’t wanna look so white.”
Ugh. She is white. I don’t know what the problem is.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I feel that’s make up detracts from a woman’s beauty. It just doesn’t look right to me. It…I don’t know how to properly explain it, but it just ain’t right.
So this morning I was perusing yahoo.com for news, as is my habit, when I saw a headline that Snooki posted a picture of herself without her usual 5 pounds of make up on. I can’t stand Snooki or her idiotic show, but something made me click the link. She actually looks pretty good without all of that shit on her face.
I wasn’t the only on who thought so. Most of the people who had viewed the story prior to me held the same opinion. So if the majority of people think others look better without make up, why do those same people think they themselves look better with make up?
As far as I’m concerned, I rank wearing make up right up there with wearing a padded or stuffed bra. Be yourselves ladies. I, for one, would take natural beauty over manufactured beauty any day of the week.
Sometimes a little touch up makes all the difference.
Eh, I’d still rather her throw it all away. Can’t stand it.
But if she does that….then you won’t get the opportunity to tell her how great she looks without makeup because she won’t have any anymore. The comments will become a thing of the past. See….we women know what we are doing.
If by “we women know what we are doing” you mean “yes, we drive you crazy on purpose” then I agree.
