No, this is not about the song by Rise Against. I’ve decided, since I’m incredibly bored, to take up a daily prompt challenge. The challenge is as follows:
Dear head of advertising for Acura,
What are you thinking? For the love of all that is holy what were you thinking? Season of Reason? Really?
But honestly, what possessed you to make this commercial?
Okay, first of all, how is Dr. Phil navigating the streets at high-speed when he’s looking at the two idiots in the back and telling them to be reasonable? Secondly, how can you consider plunking $2499 down and $479 a month for a leased car reasonable? Can you explain that to me? I’ll save you some time. You can’t. Because it isn’t reasonable. Idiot.
For the love of Oprah Winfrey, why would you put Dr. Phil in a commercial? Dr. Phil has no credibility left. If he ever had any to begin with. Is he even really a doctor? He just tells people they’re stupid and how they should live their lives. Hell, I can do that. Plus I can do it much more colorfully than he can.
Please stop sucking at your job.
Disrespectfully yours,
Twindaddy

HAHAHA! Great idea, I might have to try one of those prompts. What got me here was as soon as you started your letter to Acura I was already laughing cause I had a feeling I knew where it was going. Great piece. And no, I don’t think Dr. Phil is actually a doctor.
Stupid commercials still get on my nerves. I guess no amount of medication will remedy that.
No, sadly it won’t.

Yeah, that was an awkward commercial.
Right?
Way funny! Yep, most people have that kind of cash hiding in their couches…sarc.
BTW, Rise Against is awesome. They save me from utter boredom on the midnight drives back to Michigan.
Looking forward to reading more letters.
I’m from Michigan! What do you go there for?
Family. Lived there most of my life, then moved to IL. From waterford area. I remember you are from MI from your about page. Where about in Mich are you from? Love all things Michigan sports. Go blue, Lions, Wings and Tigers.
I was born in Detroit, but sadly didn’t live there long.
Small world. Was also born in the city. Lived at 6 mile and Gratiot til I was 5. Then we moved around and back. The Midwest is the best. If people knock Detroit, I threaten to eat them.
Hahaha. We moved to Lambertville after I was born and I stayed there until I was 5. I moved back in my early 20′s and lived at 14 and Van Dyke, but my ex-wife didn’t like it so we moved back to tha Nasty Nati.
Everybody knows I rep the Motor City, though.
