Well, well. The Daily Prompt has actually given me a prompt I’m excited about.  Admittedly, I’ve saved all the emails from recent DP posts in a folder on the off-chance that maybe one day they’ll inspire me, but this one is probably my favorite prompt ever.

By now I’m sure your curiosity is piqued and you’re slowing leaning in towards your screen in excruciating anticipation.  You can’t wait to find out what I’m so excited about.  Well, I’ll tell you. After I relieve myself, because this is so cool that I have to pee.

Another day, another Daily Prompt.  Evidently it’s National Poetry Writing Month, which is almost over.  Is there a national month for everything now?  I mean, seriously, why can’t April just be, you know, April?  Ah, whatever.

Anyhow, DP has asked that we write poems in honor of the almost end of National Poetry writing month.  Yeah huh!  Look!

National Poetry Writing Month is nearly at at end. To celebrate it, try your hand at some verse.

See?  I told ya!  Anyhow, I think I can through throw (do not attempt blogging without consuming a full cup of coffee first!) a couple of lines together.  Let’s watch as I weave words together as effectively as a drunken seamstress knitting some FUBAR sweater.

Oh, Daily Prompt.  I have missed thee.  I have had so many other things to write that I’ve ignored thee.  Well, that and some of the prompts lately have been  uninspiring.  To me, anyhow.  For shame, DP.  For shame.

But here we are.  Together again.  It’s like we’ve never been apart.  We’ve fallen back into each other like milk into a bowl of cereal.  Like syrup on a fluffy pancake.  Like A1 on a juicy steak.  Yes, we go together, DP.  You complete me.  And my blog. And stuph™.

I haven’t done a Daily Prompt post for a few days for a couple of reasons.  For starters, I haven’t been overly inspired by them.  I’ve also had other things to write.  I also am collaborating with another blogger on a fictional piece in addition to writing a guest post for another blog.  So I’ve saved those ideas for rainy days.  In other words, when I’m completely devoid of any writing topics one day I’ll fall back to that list of ideas.

Today’s prompt is to make a list, any list, about whatever we chose.  Lists seem to be all the rage these days, with a plethora of bloggers making Top 10 lists à la David Letterman.  Some are very funny.  Others are just lists.

I’ve debated with myself for the last few minutes on what topic I should choose to make a list about and I’ve finally agreed with myself on a topic.  So, with all that nonsense settled, let’s move on to the prompt, shall we?  What?  I don’t care if you’re ready or not!  This is my post and we’ll move on when I’m ready!  Hey, put that coffee down and read, ass!  Ugh.  We’ll just go on without you.  PROMPT ME!

And the Season Turns – What’s Your Favorite Season?

Even though the calendar told us it was spring a couple of weeks ago (well, for those of us in the northern hemisphere, anyhow), Mother Nature didn’t grace us with Spring-like weather until this past weekend.  I was able to open my windows and let the damp, cool breeze permeate my home and listen to the calming sound of raindrops gently striking the ground.  I was able to roll down my windows when I went to the store this weekend and it was warm enough to wear a pair of shorts and some flip-flops.  It felt good to be outside for a change.  It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold.  Like that third bowl of porridge, it was just right.
