Recently, I entered The FOG Extravaganza Giveawayery. Normally, I don’t enter contests, because I never win. I did this time for 3 reasons: One, with a name that cool, this contest was bound to be epic. Two, it was Mad Libs, and Mad Libs rule. Three, it was done by Goldfish, who is talented, smart, and beautiful.
What? She already announced the winners and I didn’t need to do that? Oh well, she’s still my favoritest fish, so I stand by my ass-kissery.

Well, who knew? I played a little blog tag in February and it was somewhat amusing. But now it’s come full circle and I’ve been tagged again. This time by the ubiquitous Merbear.

This week’s Writing Challenge challenges its participants to use a custom form to generate some sort of useful feedback for our blogs. I have used the form in the past for submissions for Blunt Life Coach™. I even had the form on my sidebar for a couple of months, but it started getting spammed so I had to pull it.

So with all the mass shootings going on recently you’d think there’d be an even greater emphasis on gun safety by gun owners. You’d think with all the attention and criticism heading their way by the non-gun-owning population that they’d be doing what they can to not give any more ammunition (pun not intended) to the opposition. You’d think…ah, never mind. People just don’t think at all any more.
So, sad bit of news out of Burkesville, KY. Evidently a 5-year old was playing with his rifle while his mother was out dumping grease into the yard. The 5-year old didn’t realize that there was still one in the chamber and BAM, his 2-year old sister is dead.
As tragic as this is, the folks around Burkesville are defending the parents for giving their 5-year old a rifle. Continue reading »
