Sunrise at Myrtle Beach
I’ve got to get away
Can’t face another day
Need to escape it all
Before I take a permanent fall
Problems multiplying
Just feel like dying
Take me to the beach
Where the sun can bleach
My thinning hair
And I can stare
At scarcely clad ladies
All hot as Hades
Where the waves can cleanse
And I can hang out with friends
And drown my troubles
In champagne bubbles
Where I can cry
Til my tear ducts are dry
Just get it all out
Scream, kick, and shout
Refreshing breakdown
Psychological takedown
Battery recharge
Reality discharge

Demons attacking
Maniacal persistence
Succumbing again
Cannot outdistance
Shadows envelope
Swallow me whole
Breaking me down
Numbing my soul
Can fight no longer
No more desire
Mounting pressures
Extinguished the fire
My life is in twilight
Blackness saturates
No light to behold
Sharp object lacerates
Only way out
I cannot defeat them
No spirit left
For God to condemn
